Field Tested by TTN Shooters Field testing by local TTN shooters demonstrated solid action lockup along with a noticeable reduction in the pressure required to operate the top lever.
Music-Wire Construction The spring is formed from music-wire stock and then heat set to help reduce subsequent set or loss of spring power. Correct installation is essential to maintaining its effectiveness.
Critical Spring Orientation
The two legs of the spring are not the same length. Correct orientation is required for the spring to operate properly.
Long Spring Leg
The longer leg must be positioned in the detent located in the frame of the block.
Short Spring Leg
The shorter leg fits into the top lever drum detent.
The Long Leg Must Contact the Frame The difference in leg length is small but important. Installing the spring backward can prevent proper operation or damage the spring during installation.
Some Individual Fitting Is Required This is not a one-size-fits-all drop-in spring. Pressure, dimensions, and machining tolerances can vary between production runs and individual TTN shotguns. Improper installation can damage the spring or reduce its effectiveness.
Read Before Installation
Installation should be performed by someone familiar with the TTN top lever and spring system. If you are unfamiliar with the mechanism, have the spring fitted by a qualified gunsmith or shotgun tuner.

Installation and Function Testing Make certain the shotgun is completely unloaded before beginning work. After installation, carefully verify top-lever movement, action lockup, and all safety functions before using live ammunition.
