The SliX-Pin was developed for 1878 TTN and Cimarron Coach Guns used by Classic Cowboy competitors and other double-barrel shotgun shooters. The extended rear length helps compensate for worn or cratered hammer faces.

Field Tested in TTN Shotguns Field testing by local TTN shooters across multiple shooting events demonstrated improved primer contact and consistent ignition. Many testers were able to retain their existing hammer faces because the additional rear firing-pin length provided the needed contact.
Extended Rear Firing-Pin Length The SliX-Pin is longer at the rear than the original factory-style pin. This added length helps the hammer maintain effective contact with the firing pin as the hammer face wears or becomes cratered.

Includes one left-side and one right-side SliX-Pin. Matching springs are not included unless specified in the selected product option.
Firing Pins with Springs
Selected options include the firing-pin pair and matching reduced-power return springs. Springs may also be available separately.
Matching Reduced-Power Return Springs The stainless-steel springs are heat-stress relieved for longer service life. They are tuned and lightened to accommodate the extended firing-pin reach while supporting positive primer contact.

Individual Fitting May Be Required The SliX-Pins are designed to be as close to a drop-in replacement as possible, but they are not guaranteed to fit every shotgun without adjustment. Machining tolerances, hammer wear, and previous action work can affect firing-pin fit and protrusion.
Qualified Installation Recommended
Installation should be performed by someone familiar with TTN or Cimarron side-lock firing-pin operation. If you do not understand firing-pin fit, protrusion, and spring operation, have the parts installed by a qualified gunsmith.
Critical Firing-Pin Safety Make certain the shotgun is completely unloaded before beginning work. Incorrect firing-pin fit or protrusion can cause misfires, pierced primers, or other unsafe operating conditions. After installation, verify firing-pin movement, retraction, protrusion, hammer function, and all safety systems before using live ammunition.
