Your card is charged when the order is placed. The secure payment transaction is handled by the payment processor; Badman Bullets does not see or store your complete credit-card number.

We are not currently accepting backorders. When available, use the “Notify when in stock” feature on the product page to request an email notification.

Shipping is calculated after items are added to the shopping cart. The available method and cost are shown before you submit payment.

We normally process orders within 1–5 days. If a temporary closure or vacation may extend processing time, an update will be displayed on the shopping-cart page.

Delivery time depends on the carrier, service selected, destination, weather, and other conditions outside our control. Tracking information will provide the best available delivery estimate after the package enters the carrier’s system.

Please contact us before returning anything so we can issue a return authorization. The customer is responsible for return shipping, and a 15% restocking fee may apply. Review our Terms and Conditions for complete details.

They are Badman hard-cast lead bullets finished with two baked-on layers of durable polymer coating. The coating surrounds the projectile, provides lubrication during firing, and contains no PTFE or molybdenum disulfide. Our polymer-coated bullets use a 16 BHN hard-cast lead core rather than a copper-plated soft-lead core.

We use Hi-Tek Heat Set Supercoat with resin and 2-Extreme Catalyst. Two coats are applied and heat cured.

The coating eliminates the need for conventional wax lubricant, helps reduce smoke associated with bullet lubricant, limits direct contact with lead, and can help keep the bore cleaner when the bullet is properly matched and loaded. Badman polymer-coated bullets use a 16 BHN hard-cast lead core and are sized after coating.

There is no single safe velocity limit for every cartridge, firearm, bullet diameter, powder, and pressure level. Badman has successfully tested certain properly fitted polymer-coated bullets at elevated velocities, but those results are not load data and should not be applied universally.

They normally produce considerably less bullet-lube smoke than conventional wax-lubed bullets because polymer-coated bullets do not use wax lubricant. Some smoke may still come from the powder or other components. Watch our polymer-coating durability demonstration.

We do not recommend our polymer-coated bullets for real black powder. They may be used with suitable black-powder substitutes when supported by published load data and the substitute manufacturer’s instructions.

Many customers use properly fitted polymer-coated bullets successfully in polygonal rifling. Always follow the firearm manufacturer’s ammunition guidance, use the correct bullet diameter, and regularly inspect the bore for fouling or leading.

No. They are not designed to require a gas check, and the polymer coating provides the necessary bullet lubrication. Do not apply conventional wax lubricant.

Because range rules and ventilation requirements vary, obtain approval from the range before use. The range operator has final authority over acceptable ammunition.

Polymer-coated bullets are identified as acceptable in SASS ammunition rules. Rules can change, so confirm the current requirements in the official SASS handbooks and rules before a match.

Only shoot steel targets that are designed, installed, and maintained for the ammunition and firearm being used. Follow the target manufacturer’s rules for minimum distance, angle, target condition, velocity, and caliber. Always wear proper eye and hearing protection and follow the range officer’s instructions.

After casting, we apply the first polymer coat and heat cure the bullets in a commercial oven. After cooling, we apply and heat cure a second coat. The bullets are then sized to their finished diameter.

No. We size the bullets after applying and curing the coating so the finished projectile has the intended diameter.

They can work well in compensated firearms when the bullet, load, and firearm are properly matched. Use published load data and routinely inspect the compensator, muzzle brake, and bore.

Use published data appropriate for a cast or coated bullet of the same weight and profile. Begin with the listed starting load and work up only within the published limits.

Confirm cartridge overall length and use a case gauge or the firearm’s removed barrel to verify the finished cartridge before use.

Our standard hard-cast lead bullets have a Brinell hardness of 16 BHN.

We use Thompson Bullet Lube, a paraffin-based formula selected for our hard-cast bullets. Good performance and the amount of bore leading depend on correct bullet fit, firearm condition, pressure, velocity, and loading technique.

They can be used with suitable published black-powder loads in many applications. Follow established black-powder loading procedures and the firearm manufacturer’s instructions, and clean the firearm promptly and thoroughly after use.

No. Our standard hard-cast bullets are not designed to accept gas checks.

Our general guideline is no more than 1,500 fps or 21,000 psi, whichever limit is reached first. This is not a substitute for cartridge-specific load data. Bullet diameter, alloy, lubricant, barrel condition, firearm design, powder, and pressure all affect performance. For appropriate higher-velocity applications, consider our polymer-coated bullet information.
