This 255gr SWC poly-coated hard cast lead bullet from BadMan Bullets works great in Cowboy .45 Special (using .45 ACP load data), .45 Schofield & even .45 Colt cartridges.

The above shells are used for a Pietta New Model Army .44 caliber black powder pistols w/ Howell Arms conversion cylinder: one.45 Colt cylinder and another in .45 ACP cylinder as both of these specialty items for the 1858 Remington revolver require LEAD-only bullets & to be at 850fps or slower = Cowboy Loads.

Also, this 255 gr SWC bullet here works great for Black Powder metallic cartridge loads, and especially the .45 Colt as it was originally a BP cartridge.

Used them in a Ruger Redhawk using 45 colt brass. All five shots could be covered by a quarter at 12 yards. I'll try at 25 yards next time.

These .45 Colt .452 polymer coated lead bullets in .45 ACP work A-OK and load well if the AOL is kept at 1.200" and a low powder charge of Unique under 4.5gr

Light recoil and a heavy hitter compared to 230gr. FMJ factory milspec ammo. Bright red bullet is easy to determine the items means business.

These shot great. Patrick gave me some load data I asked for. Most heavy weight 45's are only rated for the 45 colt. These gave me an affordable way to shoot my new magnum.

Got the sample, then promptly ordered 500 more. I plan to use these as my ONLY bullet. Have used the rnfp polymer, but went SWC for better hunting. If you shoot these around 1000 fps or higher into either steel or Maple or both, they tend to shorten a bit and get quite a bit flatter and wider at the tip, without wiping off the polymer. Much better terminal results than the RNFP which don't deform much at all. Much better expansion than the quality special purpose lead hunting bullets I have previously used. I do not THINK they lead at all, even at around 1500 fps., in a rifle, but I don't think I need to go faster than 1300 fps. anyways. Cut cleaner paper as well.
