Samples 45/70 405 Grain RNFP Qty 15

I worked up some loads for the 405 grain 45-70 bullets, and found the sweet spot. These bullets out perform the factory rounds. At 50 yards with open sights (the 12" target is filled by the bead of the sight at 50 yards, very hard shot) I was able to pull off a 1" group! Wow.

I bought a package of 15 bullets to try. I wanted to compare .459 and .458 (which I had gotten elsewhere). It seems that the .459 that I bought from Badman, had a tighter grouping. I had read that .459 will perform better and they did. I will order 100 next time.

Also, the Customer Service from Badman was outstanding. There was a mixup at USPS, and Badman worked with me to get my order. .

I was shooting at 25 yards using 30 grains of IMR 4198.

The War Department appointed General Terry to select a breech and best round in 1872. Four junior officers would experiment with .40,.42 and .45 caliber. On January 31, 1873 Lt.Prince would record that their board had reached a concensus that this bullet and case specification was superior to all other trial rounds submitted. I really like the look of these bullets. They have a very nice form and are well lubed. The size is very accurate throughout the sample.

These bullets are good quality and shoot very well in my Marlin GG. I didn't give 5 stars because I don't know how they perform on a bear.

Casting fill is excellent. Bases are fully formed. Weight almost no variance. Lube doesn't fall out....virtually no leading.
AND....multiple shots make little mothballs! from 458 Zastava Mauser

So....almost no benefit to casting this yourself....

I loaded 50 of these up and we shot them from a H&R Handi-rifle, Shiloh Sharps, and a Remington Rolling Block. All grouped well, and worked with the 3 different powders we used. I have purchased again and will probably keep buying these.

These are very hard cast bullets. They don’t scratch very easy, and the red wax/coating in the rings is very clean and stays there. . When seating the bullets I did NOT have any led shaving or wax come off at all. That Has always been the worst thing with loading cast, but with Bad Man bullets I did not have a problem with shit getting everywhere. I’m sold on these 405g bad ass bullets, I will be buying more soon. Thanks y’all

I haven't gotten chance to shoot them yet but I was able to get them loaded up and ready to go.
The 405 gr 45-70 bullets look great and they weighed out great imo all fell within +/- 1.5 gr not that bad for cast bullets. Will let you know how they shoot asap.

Excellant bullets these 45-70 Bullets. Better looking and loading then any other bullet I have loaded in cast. Plus my Marlin 1895G loves them too.
