This will be the second time using poly bullets in my 1911. You have to adjust the seating perfectly to get them to cycle well. No problems at all after that.

With the shortage of supplies I thought I would give these a try. Went to range and could not get them to load into the cylinder of my Colt 1911 45 acp. Think with the added coating was too big to fully chamber. Ended up borrowing a S&W 45 revolver to shoot so they wouldn't be wasted. Go back to a more fmj style for future reloads in my Colt

They failed to chamber in your 1911 because you loaded them too long and didn’t follow our recommendation for COAL of 1.138” – 1.140” which is CLEARLY listed on the product page. Why would we offer a product that doesn't work but repeatedly sell a ton of them?

I have purchased bullets from Bad Man for several years. I recently started shooting again so I needed to order some 45 bullets to load with. I really like the coated bullets. There is no mess when you load. It seems be be kinder and gentler on the barrell. Switching from lead to coated, I was hesitant about, but I got over that in a heart beat. Buy the coated. Bad Man Bullets has always treated me well. I do like the fact that I can get load advice, which helps a novice like me. I like the fact that I can purchase a sample to test out, before making a large purchase. David

I had to work through the seating depth several times before getting a finished product that would cycle reliably despite fitting the Wilson case guage; and then when fired, the lane was full of smoke--I presume the heat and powder burning off the polymer coating; smokey nonetheless. If the Polymer is getting scraped off during the seating process (not enough bell on the case mouth) or if too much crimp is used this problem will occur. The coating is NOT being burned off. See our Video Section in regards to this. The recommended COAL is clearly listed on the product page. We also highly recommend using a Lee “Factory” crimp die as your final crimp stage. We personally load and shoot tons of these bullets without the above mentioned problems. Something in the reloading process wenread moret wrong giving these poor results.
