45 ACP

Absolutely the best Polymer bullets in every caliber.
oversized
cowdogman - 02/09/2024
These bullets are oversized and need to be swaged down to .451. They have caused feeding problems in Kimber, Colt and Rock Island pistols. We have tried various seating depths, etc. with no resolution.

Reply from Badman Bullets:

Common practice in the bullet casting industry with Lead/Polymer coated bullets in 45 caliber is to size them at .452” for proper obturation, even in 45 ACP. We have thousands of happy customers, including ourselves that load and shoot these same bullets with no problems of them feeding. My guess is you might be using a combination seating/crimp die which is the problem. What happens with those dies and lead bullets is as the bullet is seated and the crimp process starts the bullet is still being seated and this expands the casing ever so slightly that you will have problems chambering the bullet and won’t pass the plunk test. We’ve seen this before. We strongly recommend using a separatread moree seating and crimp die. The review states the bullet had to be resized to .451” and it still didn’t work? That tells us it’s the reloading equipment setup that’s the problem… not the bullet. We also recommend a Lee Carbide “Factory” Crimp die.

Excellent Product
Lowell - 06/23/2023
loading was a small problem, just had to bell the cases a slight more due to the flat base... Groups were tight at 25 yards... Cleaning the gun was a breeze, very little fouling...
Will buy more in the future...
Polycoated bullets

45 Caliber 185 Grain SWC Polymer
Jerry Hunsinger - 02/12/2020
I have been a lead bullet molder and reloader all my adult life. This will be the first time for me to use coated bullets.
The Badman polymer bullets that I ordered came from the company in a reasonable time, and I loaded a box of 50 for testing at the range, which I have not done yet, so I cannot tell you how they shoot.
The bullet coating is slick and smooth, but the bullets are uniformly .452, which may cause the loaded round to display a .001 slight bulge below the case mouth, critical in the .45ACP. You won't see this bulge, but the loaded bullet gauge certainly will - your loaded round won't gauge.
So, I sized all of the ones I loaded to .451, which is correct for the .45 ACP round, and all gauged as expected.
We shall see how they shoot. I predict they will function and shoot just fine.

Reply from Badman Bullets:

They will shoot better sized at .452" as they obturate better. Lead bullets are always sized .001" oread morever bore diameter even for 45 ACP. This is the standard in the industry. We shoot these same bullets with no feeding or chambering problems. Jacketed and plated bullets are sized at bore diameter. If your gun has a tight chamber and you do have chamber problems than we recommend using a Lee Carbide “Factory” Crimp Die.

As far as I'm concerned, bad man poly coated bullets are the best cast on the market. They are accurate, barrels are easy to clean, no lead deposit on my hands (even though I still wash them after handling the bullets)
Great product
Larry - 07/18/2018
Fired from a Ruger SR-45. Was concerned about feed problems, being a semi-wad cutter, but had absolutely none.
Loaded five rounds to max load, and hardly any fouling in barrel, and very little smoke.
200 SWC 45 and 124 gr 9mm RN
Tex Robin - 07/03/2018
I have only shot these bullets so far and find them to be great and don't lead barrels or smoke in the indoor range.
I have some of the 185 SWC but haven't shot any of them yet . I will let you know if they work out ok..thanks for a great product.
