These lubed bullets were sent to Arizona in the summer time heat and delivered on July 29th at 11:55 am in the customers mail box. They probably sat there all afternoon and YES… the lube will get a little messy in the heat if left that long.

I ordered a sample pack of .428" dia and .429" dia bullets to try in my new Uberti 1873 rifle chambered in 44-40. After slugging the barrel and test firing a dozen or so of each bullet I chose the .428" dia bullets. I have since ordered 2,000 of these bullets and have shot several hundred already. Comparing these against other lubed lead bullets, I would say they are in a class of their own! It's as if each and every bullet was hand cleaned to remove any excess lube! I'm very impressed!

I have been handloading 44 special and magnum for almost 20 years now, starting out with my grandpa's loading bench as his assistant, and gaining knowledge through much experimentation and trial. I think one of the most important things we learned at his bench were, first, copper bullets and heavy powder make for a fun day... after about two cylinders worth anyway... and second... when you use reduced loads with good quality lead cast bullets, you can shoot all day for cheap and get good at it.
