I put these on my Pietta 1851 along with some honing on the hammer and now I have a fine tuned Navy.I can get over 50 rounds straight without a single cap jam.

I've used these nipples on many colts, and have now put them on my Remington. They are especially helpful on the Colts, and I rarely have a cap jam with them in use. I highly recommend them.

Purchased these cylinder cap nipples for a Pietta replica of the Colt New Army 1860. The nipples fit the cylinder perfectly and indicated that ONLY #10 percussion caps should be used. However, #10 percussion caps will not fit over any of these nipples and I had to revert back to the stock nipples until I can secure #11 caps.

The SliXshot nipples are designed around the REMINGTON #10 Caps which fit perfectly. We're assuming this poster was using something other than REMINGTON #10 Caps. CCI #11's can also work but we recommend the REMINGTON #10's which is clearly stated in our product description.

I have installed Slix Shot nipples on all of my cap'n ball revolvers and love them. They solved the dreaded "cap sucking" issue with my Colt pattern cap'n ball revolvers and prevented the need for more elaborate solutions.

I have only put 12 rounds through my gun with these nipples had no problems with them

These black powder nipples are far better than the stock ones found on the Pietta 1851 Navy .44 cal. #10 percussion caps fit a little better and no misfires so far.
I also bought the Slix driver to change out the nipples. Worked well but I found the screwdriver blades to be too fat to fit the screws on the gun. I had to grind them down to get a good solid bite on the Pietta. Not a big deal but as a nipple wrench it is excellent.

Finding Remington No 10 caps are proving to be a huge PITA. No local stores have them and I’ve been to no less than 6 to include Cabela’s and Bass Pro. Ordering them online brings a $30.00 hazzmat shipping fee........nice. The nipples did install just fine though in my 1851.

Although the SlixShot Nipples were designed around the Remington #10 Caps, most CCI #11 and CCI #11 Magnums will work also.

I just got out to try my slix shot nipples best thing I have ever done to my 1851 navy's no more cap jams even with light hammer springs. I have tried lots of other brands of nipples but nothing compares to slix shot. I prefer heavy hammer springs on my open tops just had to try light ones to see if it would work they are the best.

I've put these on two Navy revolvers - one Pietta and one Uberti London. They work flawlessly. No more cap sucking and no more pieces jamming up the hammer. If you shoot BP revolvers, do yourself a favor and pick up a set. Excellent communication and shipping from Badman. Thanks!

I have used slix shot nipples for several years, they are the best out there. Fit #10 Remington caps perfectly, never had one fall off or fail to fire.

Have an Uberti 1860 Army before I put Slixshot nipples on I had numerous misfires. After I installed Slixshot nipples 200 rounds later have yet to have a misfire

I have received and installed the nipples in a 1860 navy with no problems I have not shot it as of right now but I feel that they will perform as great as I have read about them and as why I got them in the first place...............

Bought two sets that went on a reproduction Walker and Dragoon. With the factory nipples, had constant jams regardless of loads in both. Tried another name brand after market nipple, which improved performance quite a bit, but still had jamming problems when using heavier loads. Enter Slix Shot nipples. 100% reliability in both guns, regardless of powder charge. The nipples have turned these guns from a pain in the ass to an absolute joy to shoot, using the recommended Remington #10 caps. Icing on the cake is they are made in the USA, and of superior quality. I read comments about the price being on the high side, but personally I would gladly spend extra dollars with a USA company and get quality, than get a lower price on some foreign made junk. Oh yeah, outstanding service from Badman, too.

Placed these on a pair of uberti 1851 s. Worked like a charm in keeping the guns from being the proverbial cap suckers

Product is working great, stopped issue with hammer pulling caps off nipples. I am quite happy with the product and will be buying more from here.

The slixshot cones from badman made an immediate difference to my pair of Pietta 1860 clones. The caps held tight to the cone and stayed on after firing. My normal 24gr loads ignited quicker through these cones compared to the stock tapered cones giving a quicker lock time and potential for better accuracy. Badman were great to deal with and their site is clear and easy to navigate.

The nipples are fine - the wrench is maginal - it's a hard fit onto the nipples & the screw driver is to thick to fit any of the screws - 44 cal. walker

The SlixDriver nipple wrench was built around the Slixshot Nipples and has a perfect fit. See image here. My guess would be you were trying to remove the old nipples with the new wrench or installing the new nipples with the cylinder in the gun. The screwdriver portion of the tool has “3” different sized tips that fit most (not all) revolver screws as stated on our product page.

The Pietta Silxshot nipples fit perfectly in my Pietta Remington 1858 revolver. They are not required to prevent the cap from falling in the action. However, They fit a #10 cap much better than the factory nipples

Much better than the stock nipples that were on the revolver, they help prevent nipple jamming that can necessitate the removal of the cylinder to clear the jam.

I found these nipples to be a great improvement over the standard ones in a recently acquired, used Euroarms Colt 1860 Army, and when I had a problem, I found Badman Bullets to provide exceptional customer care.

For those interested in the detail, here's what happened. After a couple of test loads, I replaced the existing nipples which were firing quite unreliably with slix shot nipples. I was very satisfied with the reliable firing during testing with empty chambers and even more so when I began firing my normal load.

Unfortunately on the fourth cycle of full loads, one of the nipples blew out, without injury but dramatic enough to make me put the gun on ice for moment. Since the thing that changed was the nipple, I contacted Badman Bullets.

Since they said they have never had a nipple fail, they were interested in documenting just what happened. In the end, I discovered that the gun had been retapped with oversized 12-28 threads (not noticed before because of a broken micrometer, which I discovered and replaced in this process).

In the end the problem had nothing to do with their nipples, but I was very impressed with the professional interest and care that they showed in assisting me through the process which demonstrated to me that they aren't just about their products, they are about the whole picture - helping the shooter shoot reliably and safely. Great job on their part.

I have slix shot nipples installed on my ROA and open top Colts in both Uberti and Pietta flavors. I generally use RWS 1075 of CCI Magnum caps on my revolvers. There was never much of an issue with cap "sucking" on the Ruger but for the Colts it has made a marked difference. It is so much more enjoyable actually shooting them, rather that picking cap fragments out of the actions. By the way I have used TOW SS and Treso nipples in the past. All of my revolvers have Slix Shots on them now.

Have bought several sets for Pietta and Uberti. All have been quality products that really work as advertised. Can’t wait till they come out for the Colt and Remington pocket models. Would not hesitate to highly recommend to any BP revolver shooter.

All my percussion revolvers are fitted with Slixshot nipples. They help prevent cap jams and are so much better than the factory ones there is no comparison. They are well worth the price, I would use no other.

These are a little pricey but worth every cent. The reliability of a first fire increases significantly with less cap jams and they are easier to clean. Highly recommended you will love them.

These nipples fit my '58 Pietta Remy clone perfectly. I tried every kind of nipple I could buy at the stores and nothing worked on the Italian off-size nipples. You can't go wrong with SliXshot. No more nipples falling off and you get a powerful Bang every time.

These nipples have taken what can be a very finicky gun and made it exceptionally reliable. No more caps in the action on any of the colt reps I have put these nipples on. I would not hesitate to purchase this item again in the future.

These nipples are a must have if you want to have reliable ignition. Others may work, but not with the performance of slixshot. When paired with Remington #10 or #11 caps they are a perfect winning combination. I always fine tune my revolvers to be able to TRY and set off the percussion cap without causing them to explode into multiple small pieces that can jam your gun in different areas..but now that I have switched to slixshot I'm able to get a guaranteed ignition and the gas pressure release holes in the nipples cause the percussion cap to stay in one piece. When used with Remington caps I end up with spent caps that are in one piece and stay on the nipples until I "shake" them off...which was my ultimate goal. I'd rather not have cap pieces flying off everywhere into my gun works. Thank you Badman Bullets for providing an excellent amazing product!

They stay clean longer and are easier to clean when needed.

After installing the SliXshots,I have had no cap jams from my Colt replicas. The CCI #11 magnum caps have their wings splayed out upon firing and fall off after cylinder rotation. I am very pleased with these cones.

The cones are well made. The threads are crisp, touch holes centered, and surfaces evenly finished.
