SliXshot Nipples: Better Ignition and Reliability for Percussion Revolvers

Upgrade your percussion revolver with durable stainless-steel nipples designed to improve ignition performance, reliability, and service life.

SliXshot nipples are manufactured from 416 stainless steel and feature an enlarged internal chamber leading to the flash hole. This design helps produce a hotter spark and more dependable primer ignition.

The stainless-steel construction helps resist rust and corrosion. Each nipple is heat-treated to a Rockwell hardness of 38–45 for increased durability and longer service life.

Recommended Percussion Caps

SliXshot nipples work best with the following standard or magnum percussion caps:

Remington No. 10
CCI No. 11
Winchester No. 11
RWS 1075 Standard or Magnum

Available Revolver Applications

Available for Uberti, Pietta, Ruger Old Army, Walker, Dragoon, and LeMat percussion revolvers in .36, .44, and .45 caliber.

Applications include many 1851 through 1861 models. They will also fit the Uberti 1873 Cattleman and Pietta 1851 Spiller and Burr.

Uberti: 12-28 × .200-inch threads
Ruger Old Army: 12-28 × .250-inch threads
Pietta: M6 × 0.75 × .200-inch threads
Uberti Walker and Dragoon: 1/4-28 × .215-inch threads
Pietta LeMat: M6 × 0.75 × .200-inch threads

Functions well

I outfitted both of my Walkers with these, and shot 80+ rounds through since. These perform much better than the factory nipples. There was only 2 times where the hammer captured the caps, and it was noticed before they had the chance to enter the action.
There was never a time when the hammer was blown back, and caps entered the action while firing, a common occurrence with the factory nipples.
And this was with CCI #11's, so I expect even better results with my RWS 1075's.I usually aim for around 100 rounds per gun,per session, and did not even need to wipe down, clean, or lube with these nipples to hit that number, which is better than my ROA or 1858.
Very happy with my purchase!

Great product! They greatly improve reliability and reduce cap jams. Also, they use easy to find # 11 caps. I have converted all my C&B revolvers to Slixshot nipples.

Darn, after that title I haven't got much else to say. If you shoot black powder revolvers you need these. Why I use them is because they help prevent cap jams ALOT! They do make a big difference and you should buy them now!

Arrived on time. I have these on all 4 of the blackpowder pistols I own. Any time I purchase another pistol I order a set of these for it. They are usually waiting here for the pistol to arrive. I've had issues with the stock uberti nipples enough to know they have to be replaced and these work real well.

SliXshot nipples are an example of such perfection than none else need be considered. No more cap jams in the open top revolvers, no more misfires, no more hammer blow back, no more problems.
Having fired uncountable thousands of rounds, both on and off the competitive ranges, I've tried most things that are available .

I like them enough over the factory Pietta Nipples, The Cap Jams? While with factory nipples I had 1 to 6 per cylinder. Slix Shots well 1 in many cylinders, 8 or more cylinders per cap jam.

I got a set for an 1851 Navy I will be returning for 2 more sets when funds are available. I won't say ends all cap jams I do have a significant drop in them 1 in every 4-5 cylinders versus 1 per every other squeeze of the trigger. Yes worth it, if you are a shooter
