Very happy with these nipples which I find much easier to use. They split when fired and do not fall into the gun to clog the action. Just give the gun a flip after firing and they usually just fall away.

Have a pietta 51 navy that I got used it would not fire the caps on the stock nipples so I changed the main spring as it felt weak still would not fire the caps on first strike of the hammer so put slixshots on it and haven't had a problem since they work great thanks

Best mod you can do for your BP revolvers. Works exactly as advertised. I will buy again for any future revolvers.

This is regards to the new rem#10 caps supposedly 40% hotter, I'm still testing, but I've ran half the cylinder with S/S nipples and half with standard issue uberti nipples, now I know the uberti nipples will fail far before yours
But for the average c&b shooter these new caps are a god send, I will continue to buy after market nipples because of the longevity issues, and with the rem#10 hotter flame jet it will be interesting to watch

I was getting cap jams every other shot on my Uberti Leech & Rigdon, even with another brand of SS nipple. I did some light smoothing to the hammer face with a fine grit flat stone, nothing aggressive. Installed the SliXshot nipples and had zero jams in 18 shots using Remington #10's. The caps did not fragment in pieces as before. They shredded but stayed intact so that they dropped off as the cylinder rotated or stayed on the nipple and removed by hand. Very pleased!

Not one jam from the cap flying back into the action. These work like they say they will. Shooting BP revolver is a lot more fun now.

Never had a failure to fire. Uberti 1851, Rem #10 caps. will buy again.

SliXshot Nipples tame back pressure when a percussion cap is fired so the cap is less likely to break apart into pieces and fall into the action of a BP revolver and jam it up. The nipples do that by means of a small hole to vent the pressure. Their expense is justified by the lessening of cussing time spent tearing down jammed revolvers. BADMAN SHIPS QUICK!!!

Replaced the stock nipples on my Pietta Shooters Model. They work great and definitely brought the accuracy back to the Revolver (reason for replacing them to start with). Very pleased with the results and they fit perfectly.

I've installed these nipples on three of my Pietta revolvers, 2 1851 Remingtons and 1860 Colt. Major improvement in eliminating cap jams and improved ignition. Highly recommended. Also recommend Remington #10 caps. The Slixshot clean up like new. Fast shipping.

I finally installed the Slix-Shot nipples on my Uberti 1851 Navy in .36 caliber. I used Remington #10 percussion caps as required and I have to say they seem to work much better at keeping the spent caps from falling into the hammer and getting jammed up in the cylinder. The original nipples and other caps I was using caused two to three jams every five shots. Today I got out and fired 15 shots with the Slix-Shots and only one time did there appear to be some resistance when cocking the hammer to take the next shot. I can't even be certain that was from a spent cap or not. The Slix-Shot nipples seem to working much better. I'm happy I bought them.

This product was a gift, and I had thought about buying these for a while but never got around to it. When I fired my 1860 Colt revolver, I had no cap jams with these nipples. Thank you for selling a great product, and I will be purchasing more for my other black powder revolvers.

I've put these Slixshot nipples in two of my Pietta pistols. A 58 Remington and a 60 Colt. They seem to deliver a hotter spark and no problems with spent caps jamming the cylinder. When I buy another revolver these Slixshot nipples will be the first item I buy.

THESE FOLKS ARE THE BEST

These reduce the number of cap jams on a uberti walker, but don't eliminate them. every cap is blown apart and falls out the other side. No hammer blowback problems on my gun. After shooting a few cylinders things get a little sticky and caps tend to stick a little, but hey thats black powder. You'll like the remmy #10 caps if you can get them. Use only remmy #10 caps just like they say. others will not work safely. And the remmy #10's fit these nipples so nice.

Work great no more cap jams

I've been using SliXshot nipples in my percussion revolvers ever since their introduction.
I found them to be most excellent in providing consistent ignition, as well as allowing use of just ONE brand of percussion cap (the recommended Remington #10s) for Pietta & Uberti Colt repros from 1851/61s to Walkers to NMA(58 Remington) copies in both .44 and .36 caliber.

These worked GREAT on my 44 Navy. Nipple wrench is the best also.
