I like them enough over the factory Pietta Nipples, The Cap Jams? While with factory nipples I had 1 to 6 per cylinder. Slix Shots well 1 in many cylinders, 8 or more cylinders per cap jam.

I got a set for an 1851 Navy I will be returning for 2 more sets when funds are available. I won't say ends all cap jams I do have a significant drop in them 1 in every 4-5 cylinders versus 1 per every other squeeze of the trigger. Yes worth it, if you are a shooter

Been buying these replacement nipple cones for a few years. Just bought a pair to replace a new Uberti 1851 in .36 cal. Unfortunately, the caps continue to jam-up. However, I found that the hammer spring is weak and not the fault of the nipple cones. I replaced the hammer spring with a heavier one, and the jams stopped. These are fantastic nipple cones.

They fit as if they were factory and CCI caps fit the cone properly. I haven't had a chance to fire the revolver yet due to medical issues with my wife and grand daughter. Wife is OK now, but grand daughter passed away this past Wednesday. I don't foresee any issues with these nipples, but will let you know if there are any.

I have these on all of my BP revolvers. They are a superior design and reduce problems at the range. I noticed far fewer cap fragments in the works also. I always tilt the gun to the right when cocking anyway while staying on target. These are awesome, get some!

I have been shooting C&B revolvers in cowboy action shooting since 1986 and these are, by far, the very best nipples on the market. Fit perfectly and function beautifully. On ribbed caps, the side vents blow out the side of the cap, helping prevent the spent cap from getting between the hammer and back of the recoil shield.

These nipples work great on Colt 2nd gen. 1851 Navy.

Upon installing these it seems that the material may be too soft and the shoulder where the wrench fits on is too short. While installing them on one of the nipples the corner of one of the nipples deformed and the wrench slipped off. I'd like to email the company and see if they'll replace one of them.

Our Slixshot nipples are made from 416 Stainless steel then heat treated to a proper hardness range of (HRC 34-42). This is plenty hard for this application and any harder will make them brittle. We sent this customer a replacement set along with one of our nipple wrenches that fit the nipples much better than those cheap wrenches currently on the market.

These are great nipples. The caps lock in and don't fall off. They don't get sucked off either. I use them with CCI #11 caps and they work as they should. All my BP revolvers have these equipped.

Since installing these nipples on my black powder pistols I have not had a single typical problem associated with percussion caps slipping or ignition, which was very common in the past. Slixshot nipples greatly resolve the cap jamming problems on these revolvers. Well worth the money and Badman is great to work with.

You get what you pay for.-the manufacturing, materials, and design of the cones are superior to the “stock” ones you get with your replica revolver. And they really do seem to fit and function better as advertised. I suppose one could try to “modify” the originals or go with a cheaper brand, but these solve the problem right out of the box. Precise tolerances and consistency matter…

Slix shot cones almost eliminate cap drag and really improve ignition. If you are into black powder you are missing a good experience if you don't have slix shot nipples. Also the slix shot handle is a real treat on hands and makes ramming home your ball or bullet much easier and is comfortable to use especially on short barrel weapons. Get two, one for your tool box and one for the range.

Well thought out design. They do reduce the hammer blow back or bounce with the pressure port hole in the side, so the hammer does not tend to pull the expended caps off the nipples as there is little bounce back if any. The interior of the nipple does seem to Focus the flame down to the powder.

Hello reader, Cowboy Gun here. If you're slightly on the fence about purchasing these Slixshot nips I would suggest you pull the trigger already! I purchased 2 sets of Slixshots for myself and my girlfriends 1858 carbines. She just loves her new nipples! We had no cap jams to memory and prior to using these nipples my 58 was about enough to make this cowboy throw that humdinger in the river! Very important to use the recommended caps as shorter caps may cause a chainfire. Also make sure to give a touch of antiseize to each nipple when installing. I just know you'll love these new nips as much as we do. I would also note these are not just shiny new bling to make your 6 Gun more pretty. The flash holes are wider and the cap cone end protrudes further toward your hammer. If your having ignition issues from hammer not hitting cap hard enough this will solve that issue. Before these nipples my Gun was nothing more than a club against those black bears or wildcats. Now I'm confident it will go bang everytime! So how about it partner? Slix-Shot nipples are the best I've used with my 1851 Navy revolver. I like these so much I bought a second set for my 1860 revolver. No misfires, no jammed up caps, just flawless discharge every time.

I have put these nipples on 5 different cap and ball firearms over the years.They work so much better than the stock nipples.Wouldnt think of not using them.Also found the no.10 Remmington caps work the best with them.

Have installed these on Two Colt 1860 Army Wheelguns. One repro by Uberti and one on Pietta repro. Completely resolved percussion cap jams. GREATLY Improved the Black Powder shooting experience. I highly recommend fitting these to your cap and ball revolvers.

These nipples have two tall flats and a special wrench that doesn't slip off. I'm not sure exactly how the hole on the side works but I have the same nipple on my .54 cal Great Plains rifle and have never had a poor ignition. 👍👍
