I have a Pietta 1858 Remington Steel Army .44 8 barrel. The SliXshot Black Powder Nipples in stainless seem to clean up easier than the stock nipples. I have also noticed the the #10 caps always fall off the nipple after each round is fired. With the stock nipples I would need to use a small knife to remove spent caps once in a while. I plan to order 6 more for my spare cylinder.

Bought SlixShot nipples hoping to eliminate cap jams. Helped but didn't stop them. They recommend Remington caps but I have CCI's. Maybe Rem caps will be better. Nipples fit perfectly on my Pietta - be sure to stipulate gun maker.

Slixshot nipples are designed to split the caps during firing and thus come off the nipple very easy. I run them on 2 - 1851, 1 - 1858, and 1 - 1860. The spent caps on occasion find there way down into the actions. It's just the nature of black powder percussion revolvers.

Reduced misfires and hang fires using paper cartridges. Also reduced if not eliminated cap jams.

Prior to installing SliXshot cones I was lucky to get 12 shots without a cap jam. First outing with SliXshot I got 113 shots without a single jam (ran out of powder). Highly recommend!

Bought these for my uberti 1849 pocket before reading that the where not designed for it. I tried them only to see, though not perfect, they fit. No cap jams first day out to the range.

Cap suckers disappear using slixshot black powder nipples. I will purchase them for every one of my BP pistols.

Purchased a set for 1861 Colt Navy and a set for 2nd Model Dragoon, Both are made by Uberi. Shot each and no cap jams. They do the job.

Both guns i got these on rarely if ever cap jam now. Just as reliable as my cartridge guns.

I have now fired about 200 rounds without a misfire, since installing nipples. Used Rem.# 10 exclusively, cleaned flash holes every three cycles. Pyrodex P, ffg, and mostly fffg. All trouble free.ROA is as accurate at 25yds.,as most single action Rugers.

I've been using these on a Ruger Old Army for about 3 weeks, Loading with Pyrodex P. and Goex FFG(no FFFG available).. I have yet to have a misfire. Accuracy has been great. About 2" at 15 yds. with best loads.Remington #10 caps fit perfectly.Well worth the money. Les

I put these on my 1860 army and well...near flawless, 100 shots and only one very minor cap jam. I ordered 2 more sets since, one for spare cylinder and one for my 1860 army old sliver. I highly recommend these!

Excellent nipples for both my Uberti Remington 1858 and 1860 Army. Solved problems I had with both revolvers with the original factory nipples.

First off, great company, arrived 2 days after my order.

Nipples look very nice, only shot one cylinder so far, but they worked perfect and cleaned up nice.

I use a pair of 51 navy’s for cowboy action matches. I always had trouble with the caps jamming the action. One my friends told me about SliX nipples and how they took care of the problem. They work great, shot a whole match without one jam. Their not cheap but it is money well spent.

I bought and used five sets of these nipples for five percussion guns, two Colt 1860 Army opentop guns and three Remington New Army revolvers. (Some say “1858” but that’s wrong). Two of the Remington styles are Uberti stainless steel.44, one is a Remington style Piatta .44 and the other is a Ruger Old Army .44. They’ all shoot accurately like six inch groups at fifteen yards. Cap fouling still occurs but seldom compared to standard nipples. Slixshots are talked about for a reason, they work. I’ll use them on all my percussion revolvers and suggest you use them as well.

I bought an 1860 Army .44 by Pietta, used 28 gr. Goex, .45 wad, .454 RB, and CCI #11 primer. I used this load for 15 shots, and had horrible problems. I would fire one round, and 2-3 caps would fall off the nipples! Out of 15 shots, 9 fauled because nipple failure. I replaced them with SlixShot Nipples, and fired 30 times with zero failures. The 1860 Army is now a dependable, accurate firearm.

Installed these on a Cimarron 1860 Army. It’s a very accurate, well built revolver. With the addition of the Slix Shot nipples running Remington #10 caps, performance is flawless! Runs like a top.

I am convinced this is the best nipple on the market. I have a variety of BP revolvers and they all work great with less cap drag and great ignition. If the south had this tecnology, they might have won even under incredible odds. Dixie might have been played today without constraint!

These are the best cones out there for cap & ball revolvers. Before I bought these cones I had nothing but problems with my Uberti 1851 Navy using the factory cones.

Since replacing the cones with Slix Shot I haven’t had a single problem. I have fired Atleast 300 balls and no more cap jams and loose fitting caps. Not a single failure to fire. No chain fires. And they fit Remington #10 caps perfectly.

I recently picked up an older Pietta Remington 1858. I didn’t even try the factory cones before ordering the Slix Shot. Being able to use the same caps and have a perfect fit with both revolvers is worth the money. I’ve fired about 100 balls out of the Remington with perfect reliability so far.

The cones don’t corrode and I have never had a stuck or cross threaded cone.

The Slixshot nipples saved the day! No more jams or hang ups. Money well spent!

I installed these nipples on both a Cimarron 1851 Colt Navy and an Uberti 1848 Colt Dragoon. Worked perfectly. Cleaned up easily. Installation was easy as well with your SliX Driver. Great tool.

I find these Walker colt slix nipples to be of the highest quality and preform as stated on line.although they don't necessarily stop all cap jams they reduce the likelihood of them but due to the design of the foot pistols that's understandable. Great product.

Slickshot cap and ball nipples work wonderfully well. The #10 caps fit snug and they slit without jamming my Colt hammer!

Fit perfect, works with #11 and #10 caps on my Uberti Navy. Very happy with the add on of these stainless steel nipples. Clean up nicely and have two relief vents that appear to help cap release.

These are fantastic, have had no problems with cylinder jams, caps falling down into the frame between the hammer & trigger or hanging up between the cylinder and frame. I would recommend these nipples to anyone.

My ruger old army had two nipples that failed on the first strike every time plus I had a chain fire or two and since chain fires usually happen from ill fitting caps I tried these nipples. I haven't live fired the gun yet but a test of popping caps on the nipples showed me a strong hit and ignition every time. And I have to add that Badman bullets has the coolest tracking system on earth. You get to actually SEE where your order is, not just read about it. I'm in KY and my order got to me in two days and one day was Sunday. Can't beat that.

The slix shot nipples are installed on a uberti 1860 army this revolver went from 30 percent reliable to 100 percent reliable all ignition issues are gone and no more cap jams these will be on ordered for every cap and ball revolver i buy moving forward.

Totally solved the problem of the primer caps getting hung up on the hammer and dropping into the my 1851 Colt Navy.
