Found them to be good quality. I sorted them by weight and got about a dozen groups but the median groups had 10-20 bullets each. I would certainly purchase them again but see they are still out of stock.
I would love to see you offer 525-545 grain bullets of the same quality.

At 100 yards, from a bench and solid rest, I’ve been able to achieve 1.7” to 2.3” five shot groups. This from a Sharps 45-70 with a 34” barrel and FFg black powder. Better than smokeless powder loads and factory 350 jacketed projectiles. Groups might be tighter if the bullet weights were more uniform. Weighted 30, randomly selected, with results ranging from 405.8 to 409.5. Other than that issue the bullets are well made and accurate enough to ring metal targets at extended ranges with consistency.

Great product already loaded and ready to fire

I worked up some loads for the 405 grain 45-70 bullets, and found the sweet spot. These bullets out perform the factory rounds. At 50 yards with open sights (the 12" target is filled by the bead of the sight at 50 yards, very hard shot) I was able to pull off a 1" group! Wow.

I bought a Springfield Model 1873 carbine made in 1881. I loaded twenty rounds of your bullets and they performed perfectly.
I got to shoot this fine old rifle. Very cool!

In testing @ 50 yards to develop a load they did perform to my satisfaction, how ever the bullet weights were all over ht scale, they ranged from : 1 @ 405.4 > 6 @ 406 to 406.9 > 408 > 410 > 411 > 413
The real test will be in a match in December, after the results I will update my review.

Much less barrel leading than softer cowboy bullets. 1 inch groups at 75yrds from B78 heavy loads(40 grains 4891) shoulder breaker that is not the bullets problem

I haven't had the chance to load these up yet but if they are anything like all of the other badman Bullets I use, they will be perfect!

Very impressed, a random handful of bullets weighed within 1 grain of each other, pretty good for cast bullets. Three lube grooves are a plus. I liked the .459 diameter which allows me to resize to .458...two different rifles like two different diameters. Will be ordering more after the weather warms up, too cold right now for old bones to go the range to shoot;)

I ordered 200 .45-70 405 grain hardcast bullets from Badman Bullets as a Christmas present for my father in law. The bullets arrived way ahead of time and on Christmas day my father in law called to thank me. Unfortunately Badman only shipped 100 of the bullets. I sent an email to Patrick alerting him to the order issue. The guy emailed me back on Christmas Day!! Unbelievable! After confirming the mistake Badman Bullets shipped out another 100 the next day! Customer service like this is unheard of these days. Badman will be my go to from now on!

I didnt want to write this review till after I loaded with them. First I'd like to start off with how quickly I received these projectiles. I ordered these in the midst of this pandemic and still received the shipment incredibly fast. I ordered them and they were shipped I believe the very next day and it only took a couple days via mail to get here ... kudos on the fast turn around time. Not only were they shipped out and delivered quickly ... I received an email from them telling me they were delivered via I assume the owner. Made me feel like they cared about the follow up and not just wanting to sell you something and then forget about you. Nothing special about the packaging itself but the projectiles looked very clean and well formed and you could barely detect the mold lines on them.The lubricating wax looked flawless and upon loading there was zero shaving of lead as they were seated. I calipered several and the sizes were spot on. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I am happy with the consistency of the bullets, I did a random sample and couldn't find a deviation. The only reason I didn't go to 5 stars was the limited lube capacity in the grooves, the design could be a little better but is probably fine for most applications. I am shooting black powder loads in a springfield 1873 with a 30 inch barrel and am not seeing lube out to the barrel end. I know I could use a lubed wad and be fine, and I may do that if leading becomes a problem but I doubt it will. Great bullets, great quality, 5 stars in a smokeless load I am sure.

I use Badman hard cast lead 405 grain bullets in my .45/70 bear loads. They’re easy to load and shoot great.

Gonna keep it short; the bullets came lubed and very consistent in the sizing. The hard casting was very even. Price is exceptional, hundred of the bad boys for pennies a piece. Just got into loading, only to shoot more without giving my bank account a heart attack. Found them on YouTube, glad I did. You ain’t wasting time or money when you visit badman.

Delivery was fast, weight and lube were consistent, 45-70 accuracy was great on top of 13.5 grains of Unique 2.5" 10 round group at 100 yards from a 32" barrel Model 1885.

I recently ordered 45-70 405 grain cast bullets from Badman Bullets. The order process was flawless. The price was competitive. Delivery was great. Quality was top notch when received. I recently loaded a small batch for testing in my new / used Marlin 1895 SS. With a Lyman 66LA peep sight and old eyes, the first group was outstanding! At 50 yards, the result was a 1/2” group. These bullets shoots great out of my 32 in. barrel Sharps. The 459 diameter is what I was looking for to be the most accurate.

On Saturday I decided instead of just picking a random recipe and building some rounds(I’ve never worked with hardcast bullets before) I’d email Badman and see if they had recommendations.
